The Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium paid a courtesy visit to EVNCPC

On March 2nd 2023, in Danang city, EVNCPC Chairman of Boards of Directors - Mr. Trương Thiết Hùng, Deputy General Director - Ms. Lê Thị Phương Cẩm and leaders of functional Departments have welcomed the delegation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium and discussed the cooperation opportunities for the power industry, technological application trends for the power system. The head of delegation is Mr Karl Van Den Bossche, the Ambassador of Belgium in Vietnam. 

At the meeting

At the meeting, Mr. Trương Thiết Hùng briefly introduced the foundation and development of EVNCPC. With the mission to safely, reliably, stably distribute and supply power, ensure national security, socio-economical and household demands for 13 provinces, cities in Central and Highland areas. During the previous years, EVNCPC has focused on applications of advances of science and technology into manufacture and business with invents, raising new ideas for improvements. EVNCPC has applied hotline maintenance technology and operated 13/13 remote Control Centers at 13 Power Companies, 100% unmanned substations. EVNCPC targeted to research and develop successfully electronic meters and other advanced metering technology automatically, enable to be remotely monitored and controlled. EVNCPC has manufactured battery system for electric vehicles ourselves, the significant milestone to encourage renewable energy sources, support end-users who travel by electric vehicles and encourage more to consider and use ones, contribute to reduce emission, preserve the environment.

Development direction of EVNCPC is to modernize the grid, accomplish the roadmap of digitalized the enterprise, uplift the customer service quality. Mr. Hùng hopes that Mr. Ambassador shall connect the bridge for EVNCPC to be supported and sponsored by the Embassy of Belgium with preferential funds; interconnect between enterprises, potential investors of energy sector from different areas in Belgium to work with EVNCPC.

Elia Grid International (EGI) shares information on experience in operation management and grid computing technology with EVNCPC

At the courtesy visit, Elia Grid International (EGI) - the Transmission Operators and Consultancy Corporate from Belgium has shared experiences of technology trends, knowledge and experience sharing about operation and management, accounting model for grid, potential topics for cooperation in the future. EGI mentioned that Vietnam in particular and the world in general have faced the energy transition from classic centralized power plants into decentralized energy sources, renewable energy sources are going to penetrate highly into the grid which raised challenges for operation the grid. Therefore, EGI wishes that both sides shall cooperate together for the ambitious energy development of green and sustainable sources in the future.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium Mr. Karl Van Den Bossche expresses his sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality of leaders of EVNCPC, meanwhile, shows deeply impression on improvements of EVNCPC electricity sector. Mr. Ambassador informs that many enterprises from Belgium seek for investment opportunities with EVNCPC, with interested on multiple potential developments for renewable energy sources, tourism, infrastructure. Mr. Van Den Bossche insists on being the bridge to interconnect the coordinative relationship between Belgium and EVNCPC and wishes to achieve more fruitful outcomes in the near future.
